Education & Qualifications Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Governance, Political Science, International Law, Public Finance, or International Relations (or a related social science or business administration degree).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in governance, public administration, or development management.
- Experience working within the United Nations system (a plus).
- Proven track record in resource mobilization strategy formulation.
- Strong writing and editing skills, including experience in speech writing and drafting.
- Proficiency in data platforms and dashboards.
Languages:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is desirable (written and spoken).
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze governance and public administration issues.
- Manage databases for governance-related information.
- Contribute to the preparation of briefing notes, speeches, and other materials.
- Assist in planning and managing expert group meetings.
- Support the preparation of governance events.
- Contribute to the development of technical cooperation programs and projects.
- Provide input on the unit’s medium-term plan, program of work, and budget.
- Maintain program records and track relevant data, information, and documentation.
