IT Support Analyst Intern - Summer 2024

Description:

The role of the IT Support Analyst Intern involves being the primary contact for internal customers who need assistance with various issues affecting them or their department. These issues may include difficulties in logging into applications, hardware or software problems, network issues, production impacts or outages, password blocks, and more. The analysts receive requests for assistance through multiple channels, including phone calls, emails, walk-ins, and the Cherwell system for incident and request tickets.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves Level One problems related to users’ workstations, personal computer software, and hardware, and effectively communicates solutions to end-users.
  • Performs the delivery, setup, and configuration assistance of end-user desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Serves as the initial line of support for users, addressing their inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Performs introductory administration tasks within Active Directory, including adjusting security rights and conducting day-to-day administration of accounts and systems.
  • Troubleshoots basic user connectivity issues and resolves hardware and software problems.
  • Assists users during desk relocations or moves.
  • Creates and responds to Service Desk tickets.
  • Provides support for plant technology, with assistance from onsite resources in Gaylord or Chaska.
  • Undertakes other IT Helpdesk tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Interns Education and Experience Requirement:

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Information Technology or recently graduated.
    • Possesses a customer-focused mindset.
    • Demonstrates exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
    • Proficient in using standard business/office software applications.
    • Has a basic understanding of computer operating systems and entry-level troubleshooting techniques.

The corporate headquarters of Michael Foods, Inc. is situated in Hopkins, MN. Hopkins is positioned approximately 7 miles west of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
