Education & Qualifications Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution ; or,
- University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience
Work Experiences:
- Extensive experience in .NET development and C#, SQL Server 2014 and Up – Stored procedures, Functions, Views, Indexes, Relational Database Design;
- Extensive experience in building Web applications and/or Web services using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio 2013 and up;
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented architecture and design patterns for building highly scalable applications using .NET framework (4.5+);
- Experience in developing design artefacts based on UML notations and using standard tools;
- Proficient in back, middle and front-end development;
- Experience in SVN and/or GIT.
- Possessing experience on software development using DevOps;
- Experience working with specialized international agencies (UN Agencies, International Organisations, and International NGOs) and in complex operations, including conflict and post-conflict situations preferred.

Career Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordination of the Information Management (IM) system development and supervise staff in the unit.
- Contribute to developing business cases to identify gaps and resources need to streamline processes and platform for collecting, storing and sharing data within the programme or within the organization.
- Participate in user requirements definition and business process analysis for the design, coding and deployment of .NET applications with SQL Server, following existing standards.
- Assist in defining operational feasibility of new software requirements and implement solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming in coordination with Innovation and Learning team.
- Support in coordinating and managing software development activities using project management tools and standards.
- Assist in ensuring compliance of IM Systems with programme’s information security requirements.
- In coordination with IKM Officer ensure implementation of software development SOPs for establishing source control and issue tracking using IOM standard tools.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; and reading professional publications.
- Support in ensuring implementation of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all RSC-related information by following control procedures in line with USRAP standards of conduct and data protection rules.
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality of data in accordance with IOM Data protection rules and principles as guided by the IOM standards of conduct; and
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
