Summary:

Bioversity International seeks a Visiting Researcher ( Investigador Visitante ) / Master’s Student to support research activities for the project “NiTroLeG: towards sustainable tropical pastures.” The research will specifically evaluate the role of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) fertilization in biological nitrogen fixation. This role will contribute to a master’s or doctoral thesis chapter. The Visiting Researcher will be based at the Americas Operations Center in Palmira, Colombia.

Eligibility:

Currently enrolled in master’s or doctoral studies.

Education & Qualifications Requirements:

  • Degree in agricultural or biological sciences.
  • Experience in greenhouse trial management and nutrient analysis.

Work Experiences:

  • Support establishment and management of greenhouse grass trials.
  • Analyze biomass production data and nutrient concentrations.

Languages:

Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the effect of N and P fertilization on biological nitrogen fixation.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports.
