Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in mining engineering or a related field (minimum sophomore year).
- A strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, including statics, mechanics of materials, and geology (preferred).
- Proficiency in mining engineering software (a plus).
- Experience with surveying equipment or drafting tools (a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mine planning and development activities, including analyzing data and preparing technical reports (as applicable).
- Participate in site visits and learn about various mining operations (e.g., blasting, excavation, hauling).
- Conduct research on new technologies and best practices in the aggregates mining industry.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient blasting patterns for optimal rock fragmentation.
- Support with mine safety protocols and environmental compliance measures.
- Assist with data analysis and quality control procedures to ensure efficient material extraction.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance your engineering skills and industry knowledge (as applicable).
