- Summary: The Internet Society Early Career Fellowship 2024 is a 5-month program that provides participants with access to world-class experts, project management, advocacy, and diplomacy skills, and networking, mentoring, and collaboration opportunities. It is open to early career professionals who have initiated or are interested in projects designed to grow or strengthen the Internet.
The application deadline is February 7, 2024.
1. Application requirements: To apply, you need to have an undergraduate/vocational degree or at least three years of work experience in an Internet-related field, less than ten years of working experience in an Internet-related field, an innovative and impactful project proposal for growing and/or strengthening the Internet, reliable access to broadband Internet connection and relevant device, availability to fully participate in the 5-month experience, and proficiency in verbal and written English.
2. Fellowship benefits: As a fellow, you will get two weeks of intensive training, as well as ongoing support and guidance from experienced media professionals and experts. You will also join a network of diverse Internet leaders and peers who share your vision and values.
3. Fellowship type: The fellowship is a part-time, flexible, and remote program that lasts for one year, from September 2024 to August 2025. You will work on your own projects and assignments, as well as collaborate with other fellows and mentors throughout the year.
4. Award Fellowships: The Internet Society will select 15 fellows for the 2024 cohort, based on the quality and diversity of their applications. The fellowship is tuition-free, thanks to the generous support of various funders.
