About the Scholarship

To honor The Honourable Justice Norman M. O’Bryan, his family, friends, and former coworkers have pledged to collaborate with Melbourne Law School to raise money to provide one or more scholarships for Melbourne JD students. During his stellar career, Justice O’Bryan studied law at the University, served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria from 1977 to 1992, and made significant contributions to the legal field, specifically in the area of commercial disputes.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Norman M. O’Bryan Scholarship at the University of Melbourne 2024, applicants must:

  • Be a domestic or international student.
  • Have to be admitted to the Melbourne JD at Melbourne Law School.
