Qualifications
- Enrolled in a business degree program, such as accounting or finance (major or minor) or general business
- Completed foundational accounting courses.
- Ability to apply accounting principles to analyze financial information
- Strong analytical and technical skills for research and problem-solving
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and pivot tables
Responsibilities
- Participate in various accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cost accounting
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Perform inventory and transactional analysis, including analyzing scrap, production variance, and inventory valuation variance
- Support with ad hoc analysis and financial reporting tasks as assigned
- (Possible) Participate in budgeting or forecasting activities.
