Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated interest in public service and government communication (a plus).
Responsibilities:
- Assist with developing and editing content for various communication channels, including the KDOL website, social media platforms, press releases, and internal communications materials.
- Conduct research and gather information to support communication initiatives.
- Manage and maintain the KDOL social media presence, creating engaging content and interacting with the public.
- Assist with media relations activities, such as drafting press releases and coordinating media inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze communication efforts and provide insights for improvement.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training opportunities.
