Empowering Inclusion: Social Farming
Promoting Rehabilitation and Integration for Disadvantaged Individuals
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
The project will have three main kinds of activities: SOCIAL FARM: aimed at promoting disadvantaged people’s rehabilitation, care, and/or integration of people with ‘low contractual capacity’ (i.e., psychophysical disabilities, drug addicts, minors, and emigrants). The special added value of social farming is the possibility for disadvantaged people to be integrated into a living context where their personal potential may be valued and enhanced. DAILY CENTER WITH Disabled PEOPLE The daily center is created for people with mental disabilities (children and adults). Every working day, the volunteers have a chance to participate in different kinds of activities: manual art and do-it-yourself activities (make decorations, figures, paintings, etc.); recycling and kitcheN workshops (participating in every step of preparing meals for the group; and getting to know even Italian cuisine better when cooking together in a migration center activity with migrants adults and children in a daily center or house).
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY:
On arrival, training and midterms are organized by the Italian National Agency; training is organized by the coordinating organization; task- Task related trainings.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE:
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible volunteers who are ready to share their skills and experience with other people. This is a voluntary service, so we expect people applying to know what an esc project is to be opened and show a spirit of service during their stay.
