Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience (internship, coursework projects, etc.) within your field of study.
- A thirst for knowledge and a keen interest in staying updated on evolving security threats.
- Familiarity with core networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP protocols) and an understanding of network security practices.
- Basic understanding of security technologies like firewalls, VPNs, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
Responsibilities:
- Dive into the world of log management, assisting in understanding the entire lifecycle of logs within Revvity’s security infrastructure.
- Sharpen your analytical skills by assisting with security incident analysis, helping to differentiate real threats from false positives.
- Learn the art of security automation by developing KQL queries to collect logs and data crucial for ongoing security incidents efficiently.
- Become an observer, learning from experienced security analysts to identify common response patterns and inefficiencies. Subsequently, design, test, and document improved automated response workflows for relevant security scenarios.
- Play a key role in pinpointing affected systems and data during security incidents, working alongside the team for effective containment.
- Gain experience in SIEM analytics by developing or modifying rules to monitor active incidents and stay ahead of evolving threats.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by documenting security incidents and participating in discussions to enhance Revvity’s security posture.
