Summary:

The IMU Breakout Graduate Fellowship Program is funded by the winners of the Breakthrough Prizes in Mathematics and supports doctoral studies in mathematics in developing countries. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by July 15, 2024 and final decisions will be made by September 15, 2024.
PhD start dates can be between October 1, 2024 and March 1, 2025.

Application Requirements:

  • Candidates must have an offer of admission to a PhD program in mathematics in a developing country listed in Priority 1 or 2 of the IMU Definition
  • Must be nominated by a professional mathematician who knows their work and potential.
