Qualifications
- Full-time student currently enrolled in an accredited four-year university with a major in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field; OR recent college graduate within 12 months with a degree in the same fields.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Top-notch communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- A demonstrated commitment to honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity, aligning with Freeport-McMoRan’s core values.
- The ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Must be able to work in potentially stressful environments and meet the physical requirements of the job, which may include wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and lifting moderately heavy objects.
- Drug testing is also required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the HR team with various projects, including:
- Investigations and employee counseling
- Problem-solving and arbitration proceedings
- Administrative support tasks
- Participate in recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Gain exposure to HR information systems and data analysis
