Funding for Creative Sectors in Developing Countries

Summary:

The IFCD supports projects that contribute to the development of creative sectors in developing countries. It focuses on policies, measures, and capacity-building to enhance cultural goods and services. The fund aims to strengthen local and regional cultural industries and markets. Since 2010, the IFCD has invested over US$ 11.5 million in 152 projects across 71 developing countries.

Application Requirements:

  • Public institutions and NGOs from eligible countries can submit proposals.
  • International NGOs registered in countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention are also eligible.

Benefits:

  • Funding of up to US$ 100,000 per project.
  • Implementation period of 12–24 months.

  • Focus on creative sectors in developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention.

Deadline:

The fifteenth call for applications opens on 15 April 2024 and closes on 14 June 2024, noon Paris time.
