GREAT Postgraduate Scholarships

The GREAT Scholarships program, launched by the British Council in collaboration with 72 UK universities, aims to support postgraduate students from various countries, including Malaysia, in accessing world-class higher education opportunities in the UK. For the 2024-25 academic year, these scholarships are available to students from Malaysia.

The host country for the GREAT Scholarships is the United Kingdom (UK).

University Participation:

Participating UK universities offer a wide range of one-year taught postgraduate courses for Malaysian students. Each scholarship is worth a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course. Some of the institutions offering these scholarships include Arts University Bournemouth and other UK universities also participate, so it’s essential to explore their specific scholarship offerings and eligibility criteria.

Sponsorship:

Each scholarship is jointly funded by the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council in collaboration with the participating UK higher education institutions.

Eligible Countries:

The GREAT Scholarships program supports students from various countries, including Malaysia. Other eligible countries include Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam.

Degree Level:

These scholarships are available for postgraduate studies, specifically for one-year taught postgraduate courses in the 2024-25 academic year.
