LCOY (Local Conference of Youth):
The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) is an annual platform held locally to empower youth and local communities in addressing the challenges of climate change.
LCOY began as a local initiative in a European city in 2019, providing a platform for young people to express their opinions and exchange experiences and initiatives on climate issues.
This initiative quickly spread and has now evolved into a global network comprising local conferences in many countries and cities worldwide.
Main Objectives of LCOY YEMEN:
1: Empower youth and encourage them to lead and initiate action in addressing climate change at the community and local levels.
2: Build the capacity of young people and equip them with the knowledge and tools necessary to design and implement sustainable projects.
3: Enhance cooperation and coordination between young people and stakeholders at the local level.
4: Connect local efforts to the global vision and enable young people to influence climate policies and plans.
