United Nations Youth Office is seeking a Graphic Designer to contribute to the development of various products aimed at promoting meaningful youth engagement in policymaking and decision-making processes. This is a remote, full-time consultancy position with an expected duration of 11 months. The application deadline is February 8, 2025.
Main Responsibilities as Graphic Designer at United Nations Youth Office:
- Design and Layout: Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of several key publications, including:
- A compendium of good practices on meaningful youth engagement.
- A strategy paper for strengthening national youth consultative bodies.
- A strategy paper for enhancing youth participation in global policy and decision-making processes.
- Social Media Assets: Create engaging and youth-friendly social media assets to promote the aforementioned publications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the UN System-Wide Coordination and Accountability (UNSCA) team and an assigned editor to ensure cohesive and high-quality outputs.
Required Qualifications as Graphic Designer at United Nations Youth Office:
- Educational Background: A first-level university degree or higher in art, graphic design, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in graphic design, with a proven ability to produce compelling and innovative materials tailored for youth audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in creating publications using Adobe InDesign or similar software.
- Accessibility Design: Prior experience in designing materials that are accessible to diverse audiences.
- Additional Skills: Proficiency in design illustration and animations is desirable. Experience in developing materials for social media and the ability to present technical and numerical data creatively are also advantageous.
Required Languages as Graphic Designer at United Nations Youth Office :
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in other UN languages is considered an asset.
