As part of the Strategic Partnerships department, the Private Sector Partnerships “PAS” Section is leading UN Women engagement with private sector, private corporations, philanthropy, international foundations, and individuals both in terms of a substantive components and resource mobilization. PAS is driving a wide range of UN Women international initiatives: for-both-gender, Empowerment of Women Principles “WEPs” and Unstereotype Alliance (UA). It also leads the work with all UN Women National Committees, and on the development of the individual/digital giving as well as Advisory Services business line for private sector. PSP’s main aims are to ensure that UN Women develops and sustains high quality and impact focused partnerships to achieve maximum results for gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Education & Qualifications Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business, public policy, law, economics, international development, social sciences, and/or related field required and advanced degree desired. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Specific training, certificate (e.g. CIPS certification) or diploma in supply chain, procurement and/or logistics will be positively considered
  • Good ability to conceptualize ideas and advocate consensus.
  • Good in Presentation skills.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure to achieve multiple deadlines.
  • Full-Knowledge of understanding of NGOs missions and goals.
  • Full-Knowledge in public health.

Work Experiences & Skills:

  • A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in areas relevant to gender-responsive procurement, sustainability and procurement.
  • Proven exposure to complex procurement operations in multilateral/international organisations, and experience with development of tender documents, management of procurement processes, bid evaluation and contract management is an asset.
  • Experience in designing and delivering procurement-related policies and methodologies for multilateral/international organisations;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of public procurement as an accelerator to achieve the SDGs at country, regional and global levels;
  • Skilled-Ability experience in analysis of performance results and providing strategic advice to inform programmatic improvements in advisory services.
  • Prefect skills in in designing, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.

Languages:

  • Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable.

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Responsible for coordinating and support the preparation of GRP meetings / activities and training sessions to advance the GRP agenda within UN Women and the UN system.
  • Responsible for supporting and lead the development of the theory of change / UN system wide strategy / UN model policy and a set of common indicators on gender-responsive procurement in the UN System.
  • Responsible for supporting the formulation exercise by facilitating engagement with stakeholders.
  • Responsible for contributing to building tools for longitudinal analysis of programmatic data.
  • Have the ability for Facilitating and organizing media communications training workshops and forums for supporting knowledge communication capacity.
