Summary:
Those who speak a language other than English are welcome to participate in volunteer activities. This is a chance to work with young people from low-income households while visiting Jamaica. Volunteers will teach students in impoverished communities how to speak a foreign language—a talent that is uncommon among Jamaicans. By volunteering online or visiting nearby schools, students may learn everything there is to know about a foreign language and its culture. Languages that can be taught include Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Italian. This age range includes toddlers and high school students. Volunteers may also combine this program with other volunteer activities, such as instructing in a subject, tending to orphans, coaching sports, or building.
