The FAO Regional Volunteer Program for 2024 is now accepting applications. Leading global initiatives to end hunger, provide food security for all, and guarantee that people have regular access to enough wholesome food to enjoy active, healthy lives is the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). FAO operates in more than 130 countries worldwide and has over 195 Members. We think that there is a role for everyone in putting an end to hunger.
In order to support the 2030 Agenda and the transition to MORE efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life—leaving no one behind—individuals can contribute their volunteer actions, when appropriate, to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO’s Strategic Framework.
The Program works to reduce hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity by proactively and strategically mobilizing the broad voluntary activities of Members’ citizens.
