The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a motivated engineering student to join their JFK Airport Redevelopment team for a summer internship. This program offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program (program completion expected by Fall 2024).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Interest in transportation infrastructure and airport development (a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) is desired (but not mandatory).

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with various tasks related to the JFK Redevelopment project.
  • Participate in site visits and data collection.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate project information.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support project planning and development.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of engineering drawings and documents (as appropriate for your skill level).
