Summary
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a motivated engineering student to join their JFK Airport Redevelopment team for a summer internship. This program offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program (program completion expected by Fall 2024).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interest in transportation infrastructure and airport development (a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) is desired (but not mandatory).
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with various tasks related to the JFK Redevelopment project.
- Participate in site visits and data collection.
- Prepare presentations and reports to communicate project information.
- Conduct research and analyze data to support project planning and development.
- Contribute to the creation and review of engineering drawings and documents (as appropriate for your skill level).
