Summary
Sechan Electronics, a leading manufacturer of electronic assemblies and systems for the Department of Defense, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support their Lititz, PA facility (with onsite work in Lancaster). This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the development, testing, and manufacturing of critical defense electronics.
Qualifications
- Candidate enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Windows operating system.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist manufacturing engineers with various projects and tasks on the production floor.
- Generate and incorporate engineering change orders (ECOs) into process documentation.
- Research, troubleshoot, and document production issues.
- Create and document purchase requests for the Manufacturing Engineering Department.
- Assist with layout changes and tooling design on the production floor.
- Interact and collaborate with manufacturing engineering and other intercompany departments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry using various software programs.
