Education & Qualifications Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce / engineering.
  • Have University degree in construction Management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project management.

Work Experiences:

  • Work Experience in mechanical engineering / preferably in the field of Heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
  • Work Experience in project management within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in United Nations public procurement rules and regulations.
  • Work Experience in preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations.
  • Work experience in renovation and updgrading of existing system projects.
  • Full-Knowledge of understanding of NGOs missions and goals.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and French languages is Required (both oral and written).
  • Have a Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Responsible for serving as Officer in Charge of the Engineering Unit, assuming the full responsibilities of the Chief of Unit.
  • Responsible for conducting inspections of the technical infrastructure of the Palais des Nations and its annex buildings.
  • Responsible for preparing budgetary projections that serve as a basis for requested capital improvements.
  • Responsible for establishing performance indicators for outsourced services.
