Education & Qualifications Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Communication / International relations.
  • Master’s degree in social science and community development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in community systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in structure development / community development..
  • Have University degree in public relations.

Work Experiences:

  • Work Experience in developing and executing advocacy / media and communication strategies.
  • Work Experience in social science and community development systems
  • Work Experience in Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Full Understanding of of issues related to children rights / health education and protection in humanitarian settings.
  • Work Experience in engaging with governments / international organizations / and civil society entities in advocacy efforts.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English language is Required (both oral and written).
  • Have a Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) both oral and written.

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Responsible for providing strategic guidance and support in the development / implementation and monitoring of strategic communication plans.
  • Responsible for collaborating closely with UNICEF Country Offices impacted by an emergency.
  • Responsible for supporting with research to ensure rapid creation and dissemination of communication materials.
  • Responsible for collaborating with media contacts to secure accurate and timely coverage of UNICEF emergency response efforts.
  • Responsible for developing training and capacity building material to support the building capacities
