Piloting Solutions for E-Mobility Transition in East and West Africa

Siemens Stiftung is seeking visionary enterprises that are at the forefront of developing tailored solutions for the emerging e-mobility sector in Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, or Tanzania. The goal is to drive the transition towards a sustainable, low-carbon transport sector. These pilot projects can address challenges related to electric vehicles, battery technology, charging infrastructure, and more. Interested candidates can focus on aspects such as:

Acceptability:

Designing user-centered solutions that align with customer needs and preferences to foster wider acceptance of e-mobility.

Accessibility:

Adapting products, services, or business models to cater to diverse customer segments, ensuring a broader and more inclusive audience can access the benefits of e-mobility.

Affordability:

Balancing cost-effectiveness with substantial value delivery, enabling a larger audience to afford and embrace e-mobility solutions.

Contracting Period:

Selected candidates will be offered a contract for up to 15 months to conduct a pilot project. The contract value ranges between USD 30,000 and USD 75,000 for individual applications and up to USD 125,000 for joint applications.

Location:

Projects will be implemented in East and West Africa.
