Description:

WebstaurantStore is seeking motivated candidates to join their Customer Solutions department as Customer Solutions Interns. This internship offers valuable experience in the food service industry and Webstaurant’s internal systems.

Interns will work alongside full-time employees, gaining knowledge and resources related to the industry. They will be assigned projects and receive feedback from department leaders. The internship is primarily remote, with potential office work depending on location. Exceptional interns may have the opportunity to extend their internship or transition into a full-time role after graduation.

WebstaurantStore provides comprehensive training, including virtual tours, shadowing, volunteering, discussions with leadership, mentorship, and skill development. Some experiences may be virtual based on location.

Qualification:

    • Possess proficiency in Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows system/internet navigation.
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
    • Exhibit proficient typing skills, with a speed of 50-60 words per minute.
    • Display effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills to handle multiple projects.
    • Show self-motivation and reliability, being capable of both independent and team work.
    • Possess strong analytical abilities.
    • Demonstrate a willingness to challenge the status quo and drive innovation.
    • Contribute positively to the team and company culture as a team player.
    • Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior in a college/university or enrolled in a master’s program.
    • Available to work from May 6th to August 9th.

Skill Requirments:

  • Work involves sitting and/or standing for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Effective communication is necessary through speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Computer use requires regular hand movements for grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Extended periods of computer work are expected.

Online work Requirements:

  • Reliable and secure high-speed internet access is required, preferably with cable or fiber connections (minimum 75mbps download/10mbps upload), as satellite connections may not support necessary technologies.
  • Access to a home router and modem is necessary.
  • A dedicated home office space that is free from noise and distractions is required, with a strong wireless connection or preferably a wired Ethernet connection.
  • A valid physical address is needed for receiving computer equipment; PO Boxes are not accepted.
  • Willingness and capability to work and communicate with team members using chat, webcam, etc.
  • Must be a legal resident of one of the specified states (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, WY) and eligible for W2 employment. H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities:

        • Take ownership of projects focused on improving customer experience and internal systems/processes.
        • Collaborate with fellow interns and teams to effectively complete assigned tasks.
        • Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all communication, fostering a team-oriented mindset.
        • Acquire a thorough understanding of Webstaurant Store’s history, business model, and internal systems.
        • Engage with customers through email and Live Chat, learning how to analyze situations, investigate problems, and provide strategic solutions.
        • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the food service industry and the products sold by Webstaurant Store.
        • Participate in professional development discussions with managers and leaders to enhance marketable skills.
        • Shadow full-time employees to gain insight into day-to-day tasks through simulated work experiences.

Location:

The internship will be conducted in Lititz, Pennsylvania or Online.
