Administration of the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program

The DDETFP Local Competition grant, offered by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), aims to encourage students attending Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) and community colleges to pursue transportation-related careers. Funded institutions administer local fellowship programs, providing financial support and mentorship to students pursuing associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in transportation fields.

Eligibility:

  • Accredited institutions designated as Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) or community colleges located within the United States or its territories.
  • Institutions must demonstrate experience in administering fellowship programs and supporting transportation-related education.
