Digital Media Associate volunteer

Summary:

The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Jordan is searching for a Digital Media Associate volunteer. The candidate must be aged 27-80, and be a national or legal resident of Jordan. Under the direct supervision of the UNRCO Communication and Advocacy Officer, the volunteer will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of the UN Jordan social media plan. Responsibilities include creating diverse content, updating the UN Jordan website and social media platforms, coordinating digital branding materials, tracking media coverage, and providing administrative support.

Volunteer requirements:

• 3 years of experience in social media, online journalism, multimedia production, and digital communications.
• Experience in developing and implementing social media plans and campaigns.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe software for multimedia content creation.
• Creative with the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent writing, editing, and event planning skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design to produce high quality multi-media social media content, including graphics, GIFs and data visualizations is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as journalism, communications, media studies, marketing, or related disciplines.
• Strong team player with a results-oriented mindset.
• Good understanding of major digital platforms and proven experience in strategic social media outreach at the international level.
