Important Note:
- Students traveling outside of the United States must comply with graduate student travel policies to maintain eligibility for the grant.
Non-Allowable Costs:
- Northwestern payroll costs for salary, overtime, special compensation, and additional pay are not covered.
- Travel costs unrelated to the project, tuition costs for dissertation writing, transport costs for dissertation committee meetings, and charges incurred or committed before the application review and approval are also not allowed.
- While purchases of computers or electronic equipment necessary for the research may be allowed under certain circumstances, their use and cost must be adequately justified in the budget and proposal.
