
Programme Management Officer at CTCN
Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN), operating under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is actively seeking a Programme Management Officer to join its team. This pivotal role is based in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region and is integral to advancing climate technology development and transfer to support climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts.
Main Responsibilities of Programme Management Officer at CTCN:

Programme Development and Management: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of climate technology projects and programmes within the LAC region. This includes monitoring project progress, analyzing outcomes, and ensuring alignment with CTCN’s strategic objectives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with national governments, regional organizations, private sector entities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the effective transfer and deployment of climate technologies.

Policy Support: Provide technical assistance and policy advice to countries in the LAC region to enhance their capacity for technology development and deployment, aligning with national climate strategies and international commitments.

Resource Mobilization: Identify funding opportunities and prepare project proposals to secure financial resources for climate technology initiatives.

Knowledge Management: Collect, analyze, and disseminate best practices and lessons learned from technology transfer projects to inform future initiatives and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience of Programme Management Officer at CTCN:

Education: An advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in engineering, technology, environmental science, climate change, energy, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience: A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in programme management related to environmental projects, climate change, technology development, or international development is required. Experience working with national or international institutions on climate change adaptation and mitigation, technology development, deployment, and/or transfer is highly desirable.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or another official United Nations language is desirable.
