About the Internship:
As an intern in the Customer Engineer role at Google, you will have a significant impact on driving the adoption of cloud technologies among businesses. In this position, you will serve as a trusted advisor to companies that have chosen Google Cloud for their future architecture and operations. Working closely with a mentor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to stay informed about industry trends. Furthermore, you will collaborate with engineering teams to identify areas for enhancement and prioritize customer feature requests for Google Cloud products.

Minimum Requirements:
– Currently enrolled in a Master’s or MBA program in a technical field or possess equivalent practical experience.
– Proficiency in web technologies and programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, SQL, or experience in infrastructure/system administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform products, particularly in App Development, Infrastructure, and Databases/Data Analytics.
– Previous involvement in customer service or leadership roles through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
– Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology domain.
– Strong problem-solving skills.
– Availability to commit to a minimum of 10-14 weeks at the designated office during Summer 2024.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the team to identify and assess business opportunities, address customer’s technical concerns, and develop strategies to overcome technical obstacles during transactions.
– Work closely with customer engineers on the technical aspects of solutions, including supporting bid responses, conducting product/solution briefings, performing proof-of-concept work, and coordinating technical resources.
– Utilize Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations, showcasing the potential value for customers.
