The CTAE Work-Based Learning (WBL) Student Intern program offers high school students a unique opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience within Clayton County Public Schools. Interns will be placed in departments aligned with their career interests and collaborate with professionals to gain a deeper understanding of various school operations. This program allows students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the professional world, solidifying career paths and developing essential workplace skills.
Qualifications
- Current Clayton County Public Schools high school student
- Junior high school students: Must have successfully completed at least one CTAE course in a related career cluster.
- Senior high school students: Must have completed at least two consecutive courses in one CTAE pathway.
- Current enrollment in the Work-Based Learning program at their high school or eligibility for enrollment at the time of application.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Compile information and research relevant topics.
- Assist with generating presentations and other communication materials.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the assigned department supervisor.
- Complete tasks as assigned, adhering to deadlines and instructions.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and work ethic.
