CSAAD Research Fellowship

New York University CSAAD Research Fellowship for African Researchers 2024

The Center for the Study of Africa and the African Diaspora (CSAAD) Research Fellowship invites scholars who have completed their terminal degree in their field and are based or living in Africa and the African Diaspora (outside of North America and Europe) to apply for the chance to study at New York University for one or two semesters.

NYU’s main campus is located at Greenwich Village in Lower Manhattan with institutes and centers on the Upper East Side, academic buildings and dorms down on Wall Street, and the Brooklyn campus located at MetroTech Center in Downtown Brooklyn. Aim and Benefits of CSAAD Research Fellowship:

The Fellowship will provide a studio apartment, cover airfare, and provide a stipend of $35,000 per semester – from either September 1, 2024 – January 12, 2025; or January 16, 2025 – May 31, 2025.

Requirements for CSAAD Research Fellowship Qualification:

While the fellowship is open to all academic fields, the research must focus on some aspect(s) of Africa or its Diaspora.
