COY19 stands for the 19th Conference of Youth. It is an annual event organized by and for global youth people as a precursor to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP). COY19 is serving as a platform for youth from around the world to discuss climate action, sharing knowledge, and developing a global youth statement that reflects their concerns and solutions regarding climate change. This global event includes workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, aiming to empower youth to play a significant role in global climate policy and advocacy. COY19 typically takes place just before COP to ensure that youth voices are represented at the main conference.
