The Corporate Partnerships Internship Program at the San Diego Padres offers a 10-week summer internship that provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from top talents within the organization. Interns will work on various projects and tasks related to Corporate Partnerships, both on game days and non-game days, enabling them to fully immerse themselves in the experience. The program aims to provide insights into the workforce, offer a glimpse of the professional sports industry, and guide interns towards careers that align with their interests.

Responsibilities:

During the internship, interns will have the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrating the Padres Core Values/Mission Statement, including effective communication, collaboration, progress, innovation, accountability, integrity, effort, and results.
• Shadowing the Corporate Partnerships team and receiving training in various tasks.
• Assisting in the day-to-day fulfillment and activation of Padres corporate partnership asset execution.
• Supporting the recap and ROI measurement process of Padres corporate partnerships.
• Assisting in researching and presenting proposals for potential new business prospects.
• Supporting the Corporate Partnership team in hosting and entertaining current and prospective corporate partners.
• Undertaking other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this internship, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc., as well as familiarity with basic office equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with others.
• Excellent teamwork abilities, fostering positive relationships within the organization.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
• Professional demeanor, displaying discretion, integrity, and accountability.
• Consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a college/university student who has completed their sophomore or junior year by June 2024 OR currently enrolled as a graduate student.
• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment.
• Available from early June 2024 through mid-August 2024.
• Able to work during Padres home games and other special events as needed, including weekends and evenings.
• Must meet minimum physical requirements, including the ability to travel to and access various areas of the ballpark for extended periods during games and events, and lift and transport up to 25 pounds.
• Successful completion of all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including a background check, is mandatory.
