This remote-eligible Contracts & Legal internship offers a dynamic opportunity for law students or highly motivated undergraduates to contribute to the legal and contractual foundation of our research and consulting projects. You’ll collaborate with experienced legal professionals, assist with drafting and reviewing agreements, and help ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a law school program or an undergraduate program in a relevant field as business administration, law, management (minimum junior year for undergraduates).
- A strong understanding of contract law principles is preferred for undergraduates.
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price (“FFP”), Time and Material (“T&M”), Cost Reimbursement and Hybrid contract types.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external partners.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for learning and a willingness to take initiative in assigned projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist legal professionals with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research to support the negotiation and execution of contracts.
- Analyze complex legal issues and prepare concise summaries and recommendations.
- Assist with managing contract databases and maintaining accurate contract records.
- Support with tasks related to project onboarding, risk management, and compliance.
- Participate in training opportunities to enhance legal knowledge and contract management skills (as applicable).
