Construction and Renovation Volunteer

Summary:

Engage in hands-on construction and renovation work to improve homes and shelters in communities in need. Help revitalize and make neighborhoods safer, healthier, and tidier for residents. Work alongside qualified local supervisors and contribute to local initiatives. No prior construction or renovation experience is required.

Fees:

Affordable fees start from $685 for one week. Includes accommodation, airport pick-up, orientation, and 24/7 support.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be at least 14 years old.
  • Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • All volunteers must speak fluent English.
  • Criminal background check required for volunteers aged 14 and above (character reference letters accepted for those unable to obtain a background check).
  • Adequate volunteer travel insurance is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in building, renovating, painting, restoration, carpentry, and landscaping activities.
  • Bring work boots, sturdy clothing, and work gloves (can be purchased in New Orleans if  necessary).
