Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (all majors welcome)
- Strong commitment to social justice and community development
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- A passion for service and a desire to learn from diverse perspectives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative under supervision
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and implementing community outreach programs
- Conduct research on community needs and social issues
- Develop educational materials and presentations for community engagement events
- Support with grant writing and fundraising efforts (as applicable)
- Assist the Office in creating and organizing a multimedia database and develop a strategy for maintaining it
- Participate in community meetings and events
- May have the opportunity to work on a specific community affairs project
