Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong grasp of grammar and punctuation.
  • Creativity and a passion for social media platforms and trends.
  • Experience in content creation (writing, editing, social media posts) is a plus.
  • A basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing YSG’s corporate communications strategy.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, captions, and visuals.
  • Manage and monitor YSG’s social media channels, responding to comments and inquiries.
  • Research and identify industry trends to inform content creation and social media strategy.
  • Support with press releases, media relations, or internal communications activities.

•Degree seeking student at an accredited college or university.
•Displays excellent written and oral communication skills.
•In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite or HeyOrca.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills

Technical Competencies

• Strong computer competency,  Microsoft Office Suite proficiency,  Canva or other graphic design platform proficiency and  Familiarity with Photoshop and web editing packages.
