Geotechnical Engineering Intern

Terracon Consultants Inc. is offering a summer internship program for students pursuing a civil or geotechnical engineering degree. This program provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of geotechnical engineering and work alongside experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in civil or geotechnical engineering
• Strong academic record in engineering courses (ideally with less than one year remaining to complete your degree)
• Eagerness to learn about geotechnical engineering principles and applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety

Responsibilities

• Assist geotechnical engineers with field investigations, including soil sampling and testing procedures
• Participate in laboratory testing of soil and rock samples
• Assist with data analysis and preparation of reports
• May be involved in some aspects of project management tasks
• Opportunity to learn about various software programs used in geotechnical engineering
