Fees:

  • The program starts at a budget-friendly rate, typically around $525 for a one-week experience.
  • This fee is comprehensive, covering airport pickup upon arrival in Montego Bay, orientation, accommodation (often shared volunteer housing), meals (breakfast is common), and 24/7 in-country support throughout your stay.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older (family programs may also be available).
  • Prior experience working with children is not required, but a genuine enthusiasm for childcare, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the well-being of young children are essential.
  • Your tasks will likely involve playing games and engaging in creative activities with the children, assisting with basic care routines, and providing a supportive and nurturing presence.
  • Basic English communication skills are necessary. While additional language skills are not required, some knowledge of Jamaican Patois can be beneficial for cultural immersion and potentially even communication with children or families.
