Princeton Arts Fellowships 2024

The Princeton Arts Fellowships, funded in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the David E. Kelley Society of Fellows in the Arts, and the Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship Fund, are awarded to artists who demonstrate extraordinary promise in any area of artistic practice and teaching. Fellows spend two consecutive academic years (September 1 to July 1) at Princeton University, engaging in formal teaching and community collaboration.

The fellowships are sponsored by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the David E. Kelley Society of Fellows in the Arts, and the Maurice R. Greenberg Scholarship Fund.

Eligible Nationalities:

Open to all nationalities.

Host Country:

United States (Princeton University).

Duration:

Two consecutive academic years (September 1 to July 1).

Fields:

The fellowships are open to early-career visual artists, filmmakers, poets, novelists, playwrights, designers, directors, and performance artists.

Deadline:

The next application cycle will open on July 1, 2024, with a mid-September deadline.

Program Details:

Fellows are expected to teach one course each semester, but artistic assignments (such as directing a play or creating a dance with students) may replace a class. Fellows receive a stipend of $90,000 per year.
