Hispanic Serving Institutions: Equitable Transformation in STEM Education (ETSE)

The Equitable Transformation in STEM Education (ETSE) program is a funding initiative offered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the United States. It aims to support Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) in their efforts to achieve greater equity and improve outcomes for students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degrees.

Application Requirements

  • Applicants must be accredited HSIs in the U.S.
  • Proposals can be submitted under various tracks, each with specific requirements. These may include:
    • Departmental/Division Transformation Track (DDTT): Focuses on STEM education transformation within a specific department or division.
    • Institutional Transformation Track (ITT): Aims for broader institutional changes to improve STEM education across the HSI.
    • Emerging Faculty Research Track (EFRT): Supports research projects by early-career HSI faculty focused on broadening participation in STEM fields.
