  • The applicant must also submit an abstract, a resume or CV, an itemized budget, a bibliography, two letters of reference, and a proof of citizenship.

Fellowship Benefits:

  • WARA will cover the round-trip travel costs of the selected fellow up to $2,500 and provide a stipend of up to $3,500 for meals and local transportation.
  • The host institution in West Africa will provide additional support such as housing, office space, library privileges, laboratory facilities, or other resources.
  • The fellow will have the opportunity to complete or elaborate on an earlier project, initiate a new research project, or enhance their understanding of a particular topic.
