The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) is currently accepting applications for the 2024 program. 2. Application Requirements:

– Scholars must have been born in any African country.
– Scholars must live in the United States or Canada.
– Scholars must hold a terminal degree.
– Scholars must be employed at an accredited college or university.

3. Fellowship Benefits:

– Scholars receive a $150/day stipend.
– Visa costs (if required) are covered.
– Supplemental health insurance coverage is provided.
– Round-trip international air travel and ground transportation costs are covered.
– Opportunities to apply for supplemental funding for knowledge production activities and workshop attendance.

5. Hosts:

– Accredited African universities in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and member institutions of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and partner universities with the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA) can submit project requests.
– Host institutions can collaborate with a specific scholar or submit a request without naming a scholar.
– If a host submits without naming a scholar, IIE will search their roster of qualified candidates to be matched to the request.

6. Application:

– The CADFP application cycle for project requests is open from January 4, 2024, to March 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST.
