Canadian Government NSERC Scholarships

Canadian Government NSERC Postgraduate Scholarships for PGS-Doctoral Students 2024

Summary:

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) oversee the Canada Graduate Scholarships—Doctoral (CGS D) program, which is a federal scholarship program. These three grant organizations offer scholarships through nationwide contests.

Research excellence in the natural sciences, engineering, health, social sciences, and humanities—including interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research—is supported and encouraged by the CGS D program. With this support, scholars can focus more intently on their PhD studies, find the greatest research mentors in their specialties, and make contributions to the Canadian research ecosystem both during and after their tenure awards.
