If yes, you can apply for the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 2024.
The CFLI is a program that supports small-scale, high-impact projects in developing countries. The projects must align with one of the thematic priorities of Global Affairs Canada. The CFLI is directed at projects designed by local partners. The Canadian High Commission selects and approves the projects. The CFLI also helps to strengthen the bilateral relations between Canada and the recipient countries.

Eligibility:
You can apply if you meet these criteria:

- You are a local, national or community-based organization (non-governmental and not-for-profit).
- You are a local municipal, regional or national government institution or agency of Guyana or Suriname.
- You are a local academic institution.
- You are a Canadian organization (non-governmental or not-for-profit) that is working on local development activities.
- You are an international or regional organization (non-governmental or not-for-profit) that is working on local development activities.
- You are an intergovernmental or multilateral institution, organization or agency working on local development activities.
Benefits:
You can get up to $50,000 CAD for your project. The funding is for production and post-production costs. You will receive the funding in several instalments according to a payment plan. You will also share the profit and the copyright with the sponsor.
