Internship Program Description: The Los Angeles Dodgers is currently offering an exciting opportunity for an internship as a Broadcasting Intern. This internship is designed to provide valuable experience within the Broadcasting department, which is responsible for the production of Dodger television broadcasts, radio broadcasts, and Spanish language radio and television.
As a Broadcasting Intern, you will have the chance to learn and contribute to the technical, administrative, and creative aspects of production. While prior knowledge in television is advantageous, it is not a requirement. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to various facets of the broadcasting field.
Responsibilities:
During the internship, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assisting in the production of Dodger television broadcasts, including pre and postgame shows.
- Providing support for radio broadcasts and Spanish language radio and television productions.
- Acquiring and applying technical skills related to broadcasting equipment and software.
- Offering administrative support to the Broadcasting department.
- Collaborating with team members on creative projects and assignments.
- Completing any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree as a rising sophomore, junior, or senior OR enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
- Availability to live and work in Los Angeles or the assigned office location for the entire 3-month program during the summer months.
- Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrating a passion for the professional sports industry.
- Exhibiting proactive and innovative thinking.
