Summary:

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) offers Ph.D. fellowships to outstanding junior scientists who want to pursue a challenging and ambitious Ph.D. project in basic biomedical research in a world-class laboratory.

Application requirements:

Applicants must be European citizens working in Europe or overseas, or non-European citizens working in Europe. They must have obtained their first university degree that qualifies them for a profession no more than 8 years before the deadline. They must have completed their last university degree before starting their PhD project. They must submit an online application form with a PDF containing documents 1–7 as specified in the application guidelines, and a letter(s) of recommendation.

Benefits:

The fellowship provides a competitive monthly stipend for 2 years, which can be extended for up to 1.5 years. It also offers seminars, travel allowances, individual and personal support, and a worldwide network of fellows and alumni.
