Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field (minimum of 12 credits completed within the last year).
- Possess a strong foundation in software development principles, including object-oriented programming, testing methodologies, and software design concepts.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in software quality assurance (QA) and a passion for ensuring software functionality and reliability.
- Exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail.
- Proficient in at least one programming language commonly used in software development (e.g., C#, Java, C++). Familiarity with scripting environments (e.g., Python) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and execution of test plans for new and existing NSI software products.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to identify software defects and ensure software functionality meets requirements.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document bugs and defects clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve software defects efficiently.
- Gain exposure to software development methodologies (e.g., Agile) and quality management systems.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software code quality and maintainability.
